Simple Steps to Enroll

Before You Begin:

Students: If someone else, like a parent, will pay on your behalf, you must first create your Nelnet account and add them as an “Authorized Payer”.

Authorized Payers: You cannot create an account until the student designates you as an Authorized Payer.

For Existing Nelnet Users:
Students and Existing Authorized Payers: If you’ve used Nelnet before, sign in to your existing account to set up the new plan.

Enrollment Steps for New Students:

1. Access Nelnet:
   Visit https://mycollegepaymentplan.com/carnegie/

2. Create Your Account:
Select “Create a Username & Password” to establish your account.

3. Set Up Your Payment Plan:
Once your account is active, click “Enroll Today” at the top of the page.

4.  Add an Authorized Payer (If Applicable) – If someone else will be making payments for you:
• After signing in, click “Want to designate another payer?” in the top right corner.
• Enter their details to give them access.
• The Authorized Payer will receive an email with instructions to create their account
• The Authorized Payer can then log in and set up a payment plan or make payments on your behalf.

Important Notes:
– Always use the correct student Andrew ID (just the prefix, e.g., andrewc2) when creating your account.
– Authorized Payers cannot use their own name to create the student account, as this will prevent others from using the correct Andrew ID.
