Make College Easier to Pay For with a Tuition Payment Plan.
Make college more affordable by paying for tuition and fees over time. Tuition payment plans break down your tuition balance into affordable monthly payments. There’s no interest, payment options are flexible, setup fees are affordable, and it’s easy to enroll!
Payment Plan Information
Payment Methods
- Automatic bank payment (ACH)
- Credit/debit card (An additional service fee of 2.85% will be assessed)
Payments are processed automatically on the 20th of each month and will continue until the balance has been paid in full.
Cost to Participate
Your only cost is a small nonrefundable enrollment fee:
- $60 for 4+ monthly payment plans
- $70 for 3 monthly payment plan
- $75 for 1-2 monthly payment plans
Up to $30 nonrefundable returned payment fee if a payment is returned.
Sign up early to maximize the benefit of spreading your payments over the maximum amount of months for the lowest enrollment fee.
Payers must have 50% of their tuition paid and be current on the payment plan prior to the guarantee date. If not, the payment plan will be terminated on the guarantee date. All funds collected will be remitted to the institution.
Online payments will not be allowed within one week of the guarantee date.
Simple Steps to Enroll
- Go to www.ung.edu
- Log in to your Banner account
- Go to the Banner Student section
- Under “Financial Aid/Student Account” click the link for “Setup Payment Plan”
Maximum Amount to Budget
The maximum amount you may budget is $5,500. Any amount over this will be added to your down payment.
Please note: Payments are processed automatically by Nelnet on the 20th of each month until the plan balance is paid in full.

PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABILITY
Once the Fall, Spring and/or Summer payment plan enrollment period has ended, no additional enrollments will be permitted.
Nelnet only allows one active payment plan during the term.
BALANCE ADJUSTMENTS
Please do not assume your balance will automatically adjust if financial aid is received or a class is dropped or added. You should review your agreement balance online.
